Wasting Money and Water Can Be a Pain in the Drain!

Leaky pipe? Dripping faucet? These are just two of the most common small plumbing repairs that often go unrepaired for too long. Many people think these are small fixes that could fix themselves or not lead to a bigger repair; however, we’re here to tell you that putting off plumbing repairs can actually cost you more in the long run!

Dripping Faucet??
The number of houses currently with a constant dripping faucet is actually more than you think! Many homes in America think a few drips here and there aren’t that big of a deal. HOWEVER! Did you know a slow drip can waste about 7-10 gallons of water per day adding up to more than 3,600 gallons of water per year?! Why waste so much water and money when you can make a simple call to a plumber to fix the simple drip.  It’s definitely true and a great example as to why you should have your faucet looked at sooner than later.  Not only are you wasting money, this small drip could be a starting a repair leading to larger, more costly, repair.  Fixing a dripping faucet is a quick and inexpensive task…start saving money and conserving water today!

Leaky Pipe??
Are you guilty of placing a bucket below a leaky pipe rather than calling a certified plumber to help fix the problem? The ol’ bucket trick can save you money for a small window of time; however, the bucket trick won’t last forever. When a leaky pipe is present, it’s important to have it checked out sooner rather than later.  Anywhere a leak is present there is the opportunity for mold and mildew to grow and even begin to rot your surrounding woodwork.  Can you imagine having to rip out your ceiling or flooring because you allowed a small leak to continue? How horrible would that be?!
If you’re guilty of pushing off small plumbing repairs you might actually end up spending more money in the long run! Hopefully reading this blog will give you a boost in the right direction to schedule a plumber to visit your home.  Always remember: “If Comfort Is Your Plan, Call the BELOMAN!” (618) BEL-OMAN or visit our website here.
